BreakOrDie is a small U.S. business with two parts: a shop for handmade clothing and gifts, and an independent magazine. Both start from one belief: people deserve fair treatment, as customers, as makers, and as readers.
What We Believe
Hopelessness is not caused by culture or a lack of effort. It comes from systems that deny people fair access: fair prices, fair pay, and a fair hearing.
We cannot fix every broken system. But we can refuse to copy them in our own business. That is where BreakOrDie starts.
Our Mission
Our mission is to challenge unfair systems in the places we can change today: how we set our prices, who we buy from, and whose stories we tell.
We believe in long-term dignity and honest work, not quick promises.
WHAT WE DO
A Shop Without the Brand Tax
Many well-known brands charge you for their name, not their product. A T-shirt that could sell for $20 with a fair profit often costs $50 because of the label. We don’t do that. We price our clothes on what they cost to make, plus a reasonable margin. You pay for the product, not the name.
Many of our handmade pieces come from small home-based makers, including mothers raising children on their own, who sew every dress with real care. We buy their work at a fair price.
A Magazine That Asks Hard Questions
BreakOrDie Magazine publishes independent writing on power, science, inequality and human dignity: stories that are often overlooked, told with care and checked for accuracy.
OUR VALUES
Compassion
We put people before profit and dignity before convenience. We treat the people who make our clothes, and the people who buy them, with respect. We never use someone’s hardship as a sales tool.
Integrity
Trust has to be earned through action. We describe our products honestly, keep our policies clear, and show only real reviews. When we get something wrong, we fix it.
Innovation
We look for simple, practical ways to do things better, like cutting out the brand markup instead of passing it on to you.
